HAIR CARE TIPS

Here Are Just a Few Tips on Daily Upkeep for Your Bundles and Units to
Have Flawless, Manageable, and Most Importantly HELLA FLY HAIR.

Daily Care

-What type of hair care products should I use to upkeep hair?

You want to treat your bundles/units like your own hair. We recommend Sulfate-Free Shampoo and a Moisturizing Conditioner. Conditioning your units/bundles is extremely important for upkeep. We recommend using a deep conditioner on your virgin hair once every 2 weeks. Your units/bundles do not need oils added to them we recommended to use a small amount of serum as need.

We recommend the following products below:

Coconut Oil Nutrient Rich Shampoo

Coconut Oil Nutrient Rich Conditioner

Bio-Silk Silk Therapy Serum

Generic Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

PRE-INSTALLATION

-Brush or comb through to style.

-Apply an alcohol-free hair serum for shine as needed.

Always wash your hair extensions first before installation. You will be able to detect any issues with your bundles at this time. If you do, please contact us immediately to discuss the problems and we will resolve them accordingly.

INSTALLATION

Use the over and out method when installing your hair. Although our wefts are custom made, we still advise that you care for them the best you can. Not required, but you may seal your wefts using a good quality weft sealant. Also, cut your wefts only when absolutely necessary. After your install, brush your hair out thoroughly to remove loose hairs.

-How much hair do I need for units or to have full bundles?

For lengths 14-16 Inches, we recommend 2 bundles or more.

For Lengths 18-22 inches, we recommend 3 bundles or more.

For Lengths 24-30 inches, we recommended 4 bundles or more.

-How much does each bundle weigh?

Each of our bundles is weighted at 3.5oz.

-Are you able to color this hair?

You are able to color your hair, this is 100% virgin human hair that has not been processed . If you do not have any experience with hair coloring we recommend that you have your units/bundles colored by a professional. Note that once you color your units/bundles it’s no longer virgin hair and it will be considered processed.

-How long do your bundles/units last?

It is determined by how you take care of your bundles/units. Bundles/Units last 1-2 years+ or longer with proper upkeep.  Like your own natural hair, it must be cared for, washed conditioned and treated properly.

-Do you recommend closure units or frontals units?

Frontals units are HIGH maintenance and they are not long lasting. Frontal units will need to be re-applied weekly depending on how you maintain your unit. Meaning If you do not upkeep your hair regularly frontal units are not for you. If you know to re-apply and upkeep your unit then frontals will work for you.

Closure units are low maintenance and they are easy to apply and remove. This unit is easy for clients to upkeep and make them look natural on your own.

-What is the elastic band method or combs?

The elastic band method is a secure and clueless method to wear your unit( measurements are important). This method is great to protect our natural hair and it is absolutely not damaging, our elastic band method is made with combs to secure the back.  Combs can also be added to the sides or back or wig for a secure fit as well.

-What is a wig cap?

A wig cap is a cap that you wear on top of your natural hair/ braided foundation to protect it. It allows your unit to sit/fit properly and avoid any bulkiness.

-How do I know my cap size? (This is very important for a properly fitted unit)

Small

Medium

Large

 Extra Large

You must select this option to let us know what cap size you are. To further help in knowing your cap size (MEASUREMENTS ARE IN INCHES), please look at our head size section during your unit selection process, YOU CAN CHOOSE SMALL, MEDIUM OR LARGE/ XTRA-LARGE.

-When Measuring your head please remember, if your real hair is a bit long or thick it will add size to the cap.

-When measuring the ear to ear size make sure your hair is pulled back to get an accurate measurement.

-Ordering a bigger size is always better  because it will give you more coverage and a better secure fit.
